Frequently Asked Questions

Does it remove hair color?
      - No, because it's a plant-based, non-chemical product.

Can it be done on pregnant women or children?
      - Yes, because this technology has no harmful components.

How long does the straightening last?
      - Between 4 to 6 months, and if properly cared for, the ends may last a bit longer.

Does it contain formaldehyde or other chemicals?
      - No, because this technology is cosmeceutical and was designed not only to straighten the hair but also to heal it from the inside.

Should the hair be bleached or undergo Porcelainization first?
     - First, the hair should be bleached, then undergo Porcelainization.

Will it turn gray hair yellow?
     - No, Porcelainization maintains the natural color of gray hair, but if high heat is used on the flat iron, it can turn yellow.

Should hair be dyed before or after Porcelainization?
     - If you're going to darken your hair, you should undergo Porcelainization first, then dye it. If you're going to lighten your hair, you should dye it first, then undergo Porcelainization.

Can I do it myself at home?
    - No, because a professional is required for the desired results.

Can Porcelainization be done on hair that has already been chemically straightened?
    - Yes, because this straightening system is cosmeceutical and allows the hair to regenerate from previous damage.

Can I curl or put it up in a bun?
    - Yes, because the purpose of this technology is to leave the hair naturally straight, ready to be modified later as the customer sees fit.

How long should I wait to dye my hair after undergoing Porcelainization?
    - Porcelainization does not prevent color from being deposited after the process. You can do it on the same day as the treatment or any day thereafter.

Can I use a climazon, thermal cap, or steamer?
    - No. The heat must be enclosed to allow the cuticle to expand and the nutrients to reach the cortex, allowing it to be repaired and straightened at the same time. A hair dryer cap is the main asset for Porcelainization to work.

Should hair be applied to wet or dry hair?
    - It should always be kept wet.
